Rebel MIK0022 Microphone with flexible arm 80 cm, 2 × DC 1.5 V

Rebel MIK0022 Microphone with flexible arm 80 cm, 2 × DC 1.5 V
The Rebel MIK0022 microphone is a condenser gooseneck model designed for capturing the spoken word. It uses a cardioid directional characteristic, which focuses on sound from the front and reduces ambient noise. It connects via an 8-metre cable. Its flexible gooseneck design makes it easy to precisely aim at the speaker in the desired direction. It requires two DC 1.5V batteries for operation.
Key features of the Rebel MIK0022 microphone with 80cm flexible arm, 2× DC 1.5V

Sound capture and directional characteristic
The Rebel MIK002 condenser microphone uses an electret capsule to capture your voice. The cardioid directional characteristic focuses on tones from the front of the device. This principle helps to accurately reproduce the nuances of the spoken word in a frequency range of 60Hz to 1250Hz. The resulting sound maintains clarity during presentations and calls.
Ambient noise suppression
The design with a cardioid polar pattern effectively suppresses unwanted ambient sounds and focuses on sounds coming from the front. The microphone eliminates noise from the sides and rear, which is ideal for recording speech and vocals in noisier environments. This key feature reduces unwanted interference and contributes to a cleaner, more intelligible reproduction of the speaker's voice.
Connection and outputs
The supplied cable handles the connection to your recording device or computer. This element is 8 metres long, giving the user plenty of room to move. At the ends of the cable is a 6.3mm jack connector compatible with common inputs. The long lead makes it easy to install the microphone in large lecture halls. The connection is stable and resistant to sudden disconnection.
Power and batteries
The microphone operates completely independently of external mains power sources. It requires 2× DC 1.5V batteries to operate. The practical battery power facilitates mobile use on the go and in places with limited access to the mains. Changing the power cells is very quick and is a practical solution for presentations in the field.
Mounting and design
A stable base supports the flexible arm, which has a total height of 80cm. This gooseneck design lets the user adjust the precise position of the microphone head in any direction. The flexible arm reliably holds its chosen shape, enabling comfortable use of the microphone by both sitting and standing speakers. This makes the microphone suitable for lecterns, lecture halls or conference rooms.

Microphone type
Dynamic microphones are suitable for open-air performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. They use a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
Condenser microphones are primarily used for studio purposes. They offer higher sensitivity and lower noise. They require a separate power supply.
Frequency range
The frequency range indicates the range of frequencies the microphone can record. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the deepest notes of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid-range frequencies (e.g., 200–3000Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the human voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech clarity.
High frequencies (e.g., 3000–14000Hz): Treble, details, sibilance, and the "sparkle" of the sound.
Air band (above 14000Hz): Adds a sense of expensive, super-high-quality sound and space to recordings.
Sensitivity
Microphone sensitivity is the ratio of the output voltage to the acoustic pressure. It expresses how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments as it reduces the unnecessary amplification of ambient noise.
