The Sony Alpha 77M II digital camera features a newly upgraded Exmor APS-C CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 24.3 megapixels. The camera delivers flawless pictures and videos in Full HD with low noise and with 20% higher sensitivity than the previous model. The BIONZ X image processor efficiently analyses a vast stream of sensor data to enable fast shooting of high-quality images with low-noise. With the Sony Alpha 77M II, you can shoot the perfect pictures with low-noise even in poor lighting conditions by using the expansion mode, which extends the sensitivity to ISO 51200. The camera also features a built-in flash that can be set in several modes.
The Alpha 77M II can record videos in high-resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with continuous AF tracking of moving objects. And you can view and observe your actions on a tilting LCD display that can be tilted in three directions and in a 3-inch diagonal screen with a resolution of 1,229,000 pixels. The WhiteMagic technology ensures perfect visibility even in direct sunlight. And if the display does not suit your need, you can use the XDA OLED TruFinder integrated electronic viewfinder, which covers 100% of the area you intend to capture, so you can see an accurate preview of your resulting final image. In addition, the camera can detect up to 8 faces in the scene, optimise exposure, white balance, flash, and many other settings, to further ensure you shoot beautiful portraits. It also has an eye autofocus which autofocuses on the eyes to capture the face in sharp focus.
Your photos and videos are saved on the Memory Stick Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards. And images are saved in JPEG and RAW format, and video in AVCHD. And of course, there is a USB connector for connecting the camera to a computer and an HDMI port for direct playback on a TV. Also, the rechargeable battery on a single charge can take up to 480 pictures.
The camera comes with a 16-50mm lens.
