Large AMOLED panel with a sharp resolution
The 6.83-inch screen size combined with a 2772 × 1280px resolution provides plenty of space for reading, watching videos and working with documents without needless zooming. The AMOLED panel, with a billion colours and a 1000000:1 contrast ratio, displays deep blacks and vivid colours that stand out when watching films or viewing photos. The 120Hz refresh rate, along with an instantaneous 2560Hz touch response, makes the TCL P80 Ultra a phone that reacts smoothly to every finger movement. In addition, the slim 1.38mm side bezels maximise the usable display area.
Paper-like appearance for comfortable, fatigue-free reading
NXTPAPER technology is TCL's proprietary solution that aims to bring the on-screen reading experience closer to that of a paper book. A special surface treatment reduces glare and diffuses light, making text appear softer and reducing eye strain during extended reading. At the same time, high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming suppresses the invisible backlight flicker that often causes headaches with regular displays during evening use. The TCL P80 Ultra is also the brand's first model to combine NXTPAPER technology directly with an AMOLED panel, so being kind to your eyes doesn't come at the expense of colour saturation or contrast.
Sharp images from up close and far away
The main 50Mpx sensor with a large f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilisation, and a 1/1.56″ chip size captures plenty of light even in twilight scenes or indoors. For more distant objects, a 50Mpx periscopic telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom and its own optical stabilisation takes over, keeping images sharp even at higher zoom levels. Two high-resolution stabilised sensors give the TCL P80 Ultra a photography setup not commonly found in this price range, whether you're shooting a portrait, architecture, or a detail across the street.
Wider shots and high-quality video
Completing the trio of rear cameras is an 8Mpx wide-angle lens with a 112° field of view and autofocus, which accommodates vast landscapes and group photos without you having to step back. The 32Mpx front camera with HDR support handles sharp selfies even in scenes with strong backlighting, where standard sensors lose detail in darker areas. The rear setup also records video in up to 4K resolution, so you can capture important moments in full quality alongside your photos.
Balanced performance for everyday tasks and gaming
The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor, built on a 4nm process, combines four high-performance cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and four power-efficient cores at 2.0GHz, ensuring smooth app performance and sensible energy consumption. The Mali G615 graphics chip handles common mobile games with good display quality, while the 8GB of RAM can be virtually expanded by another 16GB for more comfortable multitasking. The TCL P80 Ultra's fast 256GB UFS 3.1 storage then speeds up app launches and work with larger files, such as high-resolution photos or 4K videos.
All-day battery life and a quick energy boost
According to the manufacturer's internal tests, the 5800mAh capacity can handle up to 23 hours of online video playback, 15 hours of continuous gaming, or 45 hours of talk time, so the phone will easily get through even a demanding day. Fast charging at 45W with USB Power Delivery support replenishes energy significantly faster than standard chargers, which you'll appreciate especially when time is short. The TCL P80 Ultra also supports 10W reverse wired charging, which lets you use the phone to charge wireless headphones, a watch, or other small accessories. The combination of a large capacity and an efficient 4nm processor thus provides reliable battery life without constantly searching for a socket.
A clear picture in the sun and in the dark
A maximum brightness of 3200 nits ensures that the display remains clearly legible even on a bright summer day when ordinary phones fail in direct sunlight. At the same time, the anti-fingerprint, anti-reflective coating keeps the screen clean and clear even after hours of use. For the evening hours, the TCL P80 Ultra offers blue light reduction modes that make it easier to fall asleep after extended reading in bed.
A smart helper always at hand
The Android 16 system, with support for up to four major updates, ensures the phone remains up-to-date and secure even after several years of use. Google Gemini works as a fully-fledged AI assistant that you can have natural conversations with, get long texts summarised, plan a trip, or develop your own ideas into a concrete form. What's more, the Circle to Search feature lets you search for anything directly on the screen just by circling it, without having to leave your currently open app. The TCL P80 Ultra thus combines the latest version of Android with AI tools that save you time on everyday tasks.
