Android je operační systém vyvíjený společností Google, který v aktuální době využívá většina výrobců mobilních telefonů. Jedná se o tzv. otevřený operační systém a má prakticky neomezené možnosti přizpůsobení. U telefonů s OS Android se ale disponibilní úložiště může lišit mezi jednotlivými modely a výrobci, jelikož každý z nich do telefonu předinstalovává odlišné aplikace a používá své vlastní grafické nadstavby.
